Model payments against the weeks you actually collect revenue. Confirm the lending entity and terms in the final agreement.
Our comparison analysis
Payment frequency against customer receipts
Place the actual debit dates beside expected customer receipts. Frequent payments can create a cash problem for a business paid in monthly batches even when the average monthly income looks sufficient. Ask whether an early payout reduces the remaining cost and obtain a written calculation for a realistic exit date. Keep cash released by a refinancing separate from the amount used to settle the old agreement. Confirm the legal lending entity and any guarantee obligations.
Worked planning example
Illustrative: AUD 900 paid weekly is AUD 46,800 over 52 weeks, not AUD 43,200 from multiplying by four weeks and twelve months. Use the actual calendar and include weeks with delayed receipts.
Hypothetical assumptions, not a provider quote or an underwriting rule.
Questions to put in writing
- What exact payment frequency appears in the contract?
- What balance is due if the loan is settled early?
- What does unsecured mean for guarantees and other obligations?
Request a dated proposal identifying the contracting lender, lessor or factor, every compulsory charge, the payment schedule and the conditions that remain before funding.
