Monthly loan estimate

Fixed annual nominal rate, monthly payments in arrears, fully repaid at the end. No balloon, payment holidays, taxes or variable-rate changes.

The 10% example is a hypothetical input, not a market rate. Changing currency relabels the calculation; it does not convert money.

Not APR or an approval. Actual lender rounding and payment dates may change the result.

Formula, fee treatment and a check you can reproduce

Monthly payment = P × r ÷ [1 − (1 + r)−n], where P is principal, r is the annual nominal percentage divided by 1,200, and n is the number of months. At 0%, payment = P ÷ n.

The fee is deducted from the advance, so net cash = principal − fee. Repayments are calculated on the full principal. Total borrowing cost here = scheduled payments − principal + fee. The fee is not added to the balance. Outputs are rounded for display; actual schedules may adjust the final payment.

For a 12,000 principal at 0% over 12 months with a 100 deducted fee, the monthly payment is 1,000, net proceeds are 11,900 and the total cost is 100.

02 / Cash timing

Find a short-term cash gap

Use one period ending just before your next major receipt. Use the same currency for every amount. This is a single-period worksheet; repeat across weeks to find the peak gap.

Gap to your chosen buffer

—

Projected closing balance: —

In your chosen units. Excludes new borrowing costs unless included in payments. A gap is a planning result, not a recommended loan amount.

Formula and how to stress-test the result

Closing cash = opening cash + receipts − payments. Gap = the larger of zero or (buffer − closing cash). Delay the largest receipt into the next period, then calculate again. Do not include uncertain borrowing as confirmed cash.
