TAB Bank

Asset-based lending, receivables and equipment finance

Evidence of the funding role

TAB Bank publishes business lending and factoring products on its bank website. Its broker partnership program is an origination channel, not evidence that the bank itself is a broker.

TAB Bank publishes its own receivables, asset-based and equipment lending products, as well as factoring. Its intermediary partnerships are a separate origination channel.

Separate the bank’s lending products from factoring. Confirm whether your transaction is a loan or a receivables purchase.

Our comparison analysis

Borrowing-base availability and reporting

Start by identifying whether the proposed agreement is a loan or a purchase of receivables. For a borrowing-base loan, request a worked availability calculation and reporting timetable. Ask how credits, aged invoices and customer concentration affect eligibility. Test what happens if a large customer pays and its receivable leaves the base before replacement invoices become eligible. The administrative work matters: late or incomplete reporting can affect access even when the business is trading well.

Worked planning example

Illustrative: a USD 300,000 facility limit with USD 180,000 calculated availability and USD 140,000 drawn leaves USD 40,000 before further reserves or fees. The unused headline limit is not automatically available cash.

Hypothetical assumptions, not a provider quote or an underwriting rule.

Questions to put in writing

  • Which invoices qualify and which are excluded?
  • What reports are required before a draw?
  • How are collections applied and reserves released?

Request a dated proposal identifying the contracting lender, lessor or factor, every compulsory charge, the payment schedule and the conditions that remain before funding.
